If you’re a wine lover, and you live or are traveling to Baja, California, then this expert guide will give you the run-down of the top winery tours available for your indulgence and pleasure. Let’s get started.

Baja Winery Tours That Are A Must Visit

Adobe Guadalupe

Adobe Guadalupe is located in the heart of Valle De Guadalupe, near El Porvenir. It’s also only a 40-minute drive from the port of Ensenada and offers an amazing winery experience for travelers alike. Situated on a large property, this winery houses a number of different vine varieties including, but not limited to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Malbec, Nebbiolo, to Viognier, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Cinsault. The vineyard stretches out over 60 acres which is bordered by highly-productive orchards that produce succulent olives and pomegranate. First beginning in 1997, Adobe Guadalupe today offers winery tours with delicious wine tasting to follow. You can also stay in the bed-and-breakfast inn and dine in the al fresco seasonal restaurant. Horseback riding may be available to allow you to see the vineyards up close and personal. A must-experience for any wine lover.

Monte Xanic Winery

Monte Xanic Winery is located in an active wine making region in the Guadalupe Valley of Baja, California and hosts a number of winery tours on a yearly basis. This winery first began from a dream to build a company that produced great making wines. First beginning its journey in the early 1980’s, Monte Xanic Winery wine has lived through a few amazing major milestones including a Chardonnay toasted at the North American Free Trade Agreement signing in 1992, and a Gran Ricardo served at a dinner in honor of Pope John Paul II. In 2014, Monte Xanic Winery opened its doors on its new winery and offers exclusive and interesting experiences for wine lovers to see the quality and innovation that goes into making wine. For a touch of history, a Monte Xanic Winery tour should be on your bucket list.

Vinas De Garza

First began in 2003, Vinas De Garza hasn’t taken long to make a name for itself in the wine industry. Vinas De Garza is well known for its boutique and unique wine collection which offers a burst of flavor every time you take a sip. Located on 9 hectares, the winery contains two main vines which include Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with interest in planting other vine types in the future. Today, they make over 10 different labels and offer tours and tasting opportunities which are truly memorable to give visitors insight into the way their wine is created throughout the year.

Bibayoff Winery

First beginning its life in 1970, Bibayoff is a grand winery that is located in Ensenada. This winery offers historic and modern-day tours and tastings all-in-one and is the only winery and vineyard that features Russian tradition in the heart of Mexico. Over the years, Bibayoff Winery has used a blend of both modern and traditional techniques to produce its wine. This winery holds a number of celebration and cultural special events throughout the year which include film screenings, music, and banquets. Visitors can book tours in advance to ensure they are given top priority in seeing the process of their wine making which is given by the ranch foreman with pride. Highly regarded, Bibayoff holds some award winning wines against its name and is well known in many prestigious circles as a great tasting wine.

Conclusion

Baja is home to some amazing wineries that offer tours of behind-the-scenes action. As you can see above, these are just some of the great wineries that allow you to visit and experience true wine making like you’ve never seen before. So, are you ready to go on a wine tour?
